In few weeks time it would be 2025, a gentle reminder that for Wawasan 2035 to succeed Brunei needs to surpass these countries in the next 10 years

I’m sure a lot of people will argue that we cannot compare. Brunei is ‘special’ etc etc. But Wawasan 2035 goal is not only to compare, but to reach 10th place by comparison for HDI according to their own webpage.

Shows Brunei at rank 37th in 2010, which means Brunei has dropped 18 places between 2010 and 2022 to 55th. That report also shows Brunei dropped 4 places from 2005-2010, which means Brunei was 33rd in 2005. So that’s a drop of more than 20 places in less than 20 years, or an average of about 1 place per year. Can we expect to drop another 10 places by 2035?Eltynov
