The aim for top 10 is like asking the baby to become Elon Musk.

If Brunei joined Singapore, the combined GDP per capita will be 84,713 which will make Singapore-Brunei drop to #9 on the list. That's one of the ways Brunei can get top 10 in GDP in 2035. Singapore will not be happy. Brunei will probably have to give up MIB.
Brunei could also join Luxembourg to become $93,010 (#7), join Ireland to be $100,541 (#6), join Switzerland to be $102,335 (#6), join Norway to be $90,251 (#7) or join USA to be $85,306 (#8) causing most of those countries to drop in GDP/cap.
That is the only 6 ways that Brunei could ever hope to be top 10 in the world by GDP/cap by 2035.
In other words, not ever gonna happen.
