What would be the point of this? Brunei is the second smallest economy in asean, producing usd 15 billion. The next biggest economy is cambodia, which produced usd 50 billion. Indonesia is the asean biggest economy with about 1.5 trillion usd, singapore and thailand each produce more than 500 billion per year.
How is a 15b country ever gonna catch up with 50b economy, let alone 1.5 trillion, in 11 years?

People who come from and lived in all these metropolitan cities come to Brunei and are envious of all the greenery, cleanliness and peacefulness of Brunei and redditors here are envious of the stress, pollution and crimes of those cities.

I found the information below and here's a summary
Imagine Brunei trying to become ASEAN's richest by 2035 while being the second smallest economy! It's like a tiny turtle racing against a cheetah—pretty amusing, right? With a $15 billion economy, they have a long way to go to catch up to Cambodia's $50 billion and Indonesia's whopping $1.5 trillion! Talk about an underdog story!
