The govt need to stop this Temporary Occupation License (TOL) nonsense. Some people think that because they have a TOL land, they own the land!
Some people even abuse this govt generosity by over-building on the land. They extend their house illegally and increase the car park area or build more car parks, until the point, they are literally too big to 'fail' - the governmrnt cannot take back the land without the temporary owner crying to HM about the money he'd already spent on the renovations.
I thought Muslims are suppose to live within their means and be humble. Why are we living like kings and on property that's not even ours?

>as she contended that her payments to help build the house provided her with a right to occupy it.
Well, no. The right to occupy the land, be it TOL or private lands, rest with rightful owner (Or license holder in case of TOL) as stated in the land title. Merely contributing money to build the house does not grant you the right to live in it.
