What is the minimum monthly salary you think needed for you to live a good lifestyle in Brunei?

$2,600 minimum for a single person.
$1000 for a decent sized rental. $300 for a car. $300 for food and fuel. $50 for utilities. $300 monthly average for travel few times a year. $100 for fitness/hobbies. $500 into savings and investments.
That's a good enough lifestyle for me.

1,700 is a joke, 960 is abusive, 500 is slavery.

Comfortable lifestyle maybe $3000 after TAP/SCP etc
I’m using the 10-15% rule for car loan as a baseline and also being single.
So for simplicity that’s $300-$400 for a car per month. $1000 per month for rent if living alone. $400 for groceries. $300 for utilities (electric, water, internet, mobile). $100 for fuel. $200 for general entertainment (lepak, occasional eating out or takeaway, maybe a Netflix subscription). That leaves $400 for savings or about a 13% income savings rate which is very good. If staying with parents or sharing a place with someone or contributing to parents monthly, of course the budget would shift here and there.
As someone mentioned earlier, really depends on lifestyle choice. You could earn less and spend less, have a higher savings rate and still live a comfortable life depending on your situation

Min of $2,000 (after deduction SAP).
Applicable for 2.5-3 years working experience & married.
Lifestyle is not about how you spend it, it's the commitment you will be need to be having in order to survive your life.
example
Problem #1: No car Cause: you can't go anywhere or go to work or send your anak to day care/school Solve: Rent/Car Loan
Problem #2: Full House with other family member(s) tinggal 1 bumbung/Balum dapat perumahaan Cause: Not living comfortably/No Place to stay Solve: Rent/House Loan
Problem #3: None Family/Parents availability to take care of the kid(s) Cause: kid(s) unsupervised Solve: by sending your kid(s) to daycare/school
[not all have this problem, ada husband kerja yg bagus, wife can stay home jaga the kid(s) tpi kalau wife have to cari mata usin jua untuk menampong hidup? how?]

I found the information below and here's a summary
Living the good life in Brunei? It seems opinions vary wildly! From $1,000 just to survive to $3,000 for a comfortable lifestyle, that's quite the range! It's like a financial buffet where everyone has a different plate!
