The world doesn't revolve around MIB. Look at what it has made this country into, from a one of the richest and oncoming developing country to one that can't even give a clean water supply to it's public or can't even maintain a mosque and has to ask for donations when the ministry that handles that has the biggest budget. Someone's Ego is getting very big.

Nowadays I don't care how u said u are the best about the MIB. the mosque is just making more people sick. And disturbing other people and enjoy making other suffer. After feedback and said it is loud. And they make it ever louder. Good job. And that's the bright future

At this point, Badaruddin can be compared to a small clump of cancer cells that destroy a human being, slowly.

Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman highlighted that Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s (UBD) Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) Day aims to explore how MIB principles can align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The minister spoke as the guest of honour at the university’s MIB Day in his capacity as the Co-Chair of the MIB Executive Committee at the launching ceremony yesterday.
He noted that MIB is a compulsory module, which aligns with UBD’s vision by teaching Bruneian values such as culture, literature and history.
The minister welcomed the academy’s initiative to view MIB as the national philosophy, integrating Malay, Islamic and Monarchy values with national development and SDG objectives. While the approach differs from conventional methods, it has its merits and justifies linking MIB with the country’s development.
The minister also mentioned Brunei’s progress through eight National Development Plans since independence, aimed at achieving a sustainable future.
He noted that Brunei’s development aligns with both the United Nation’s SDGs and the aspirations set in the nation’s Declaration of Independence 40 years ago.
Themed ‘MIB and Sustainable Development: Rooting Local Values, Rising to Global Goals’, the event featured a forum panel focused on MIB and SDG along with exhibitions and cultural activities. The ceremony also featured remarks from Director of Academy of Brunei Studies Dr Haji Tassim bin Haji Abu Bakar as UBD MIB Council Chairman. – Lyna Mohammad
