The only way is to let Bruneian travel smoother to Sabah and Sarawak with open free trade policy. That will improve the relationship

At least until the Pan-Borneo highway that bypasses Brunei is completed, then Malaysia couldn't care less.

I think a road bypassing Brunei is inevitable to remove 4 check point crossings and long delays. It makes more sense to remove the bottle neck on the Trans Borneo Highway. Further more there is little to NO reason to purchase goods enroute at a highly inflated price. Brunei is sadly still stuck in the 1920's with little desire to progress for the benefit of the population. Mean while Sarawak sees a higher posentage of Brunian visitors by the month.
