It is inevitable that Sarawak will be richer than Brunei. Sarawak has lots of natural resources including O&G and Gold, lots of land for agriculture and rivers for water and hydroelectricity. If Sarawak didn't join Malaysia, and all the wealth and royalties and taxes flowing to KL, they would have been richer than Brunei a long long time ago.
