Redefining expectations, it presents a fresh and modern take on the traditional look of such vehicles. Scheduled to debut in Brunei this March, the All-New MIFA offers two distinct trim levels – Premium and Luxury. There’s also plenty of chrome garnish on display, and customers can even opt for a premium two-tone paint scheme with a ‘Concrete Grey’ primary colour and black roof – alternatives are all monotone (Blanc White, Pearl White, Mica Blue, Dynasty Red, and Metal Black). Inside, comfort is a priority and will be offered as standard with a 2-2-3 seating layout. Depending on the variant, there are seven or eight seats, including six-way electrically adjustable captain’s chairs in the first and second row, which can be configured for ease of access. Footrests and fold-out tray tables allow passengers to travel in business class every day. The MIFA sports a minimalist dashboard with slim air vents and integrated touch-sensitive controls for the climate system, both positioned below the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Another display is a seven-inch unit ahead of the driver that acts as a digital instrument cluster. **TECH ENSEMBLE** Depending on the trim, the MIFA comes with available features such as black leather upholstery, 64-colour ambient lighting, power-sliding rear doors, a powered tailgate, an electronic parking brake (with auto brake hold), dedicated second-row climate controls, an air purifier, powered front and second-row seats, a 12-speaker sound system, and a wireless charging pad. Safety continues to be a vital mainstay of every new Maxus model, and the new MIFA is no exception. MIFA models come packed with a more robust list of safety features and driver assistance features, including the following as standard: ESP, EBD, brake assist, ABS, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear collision warning, hill descent control, and traffic sign recognition. All these features are standard across the range, with the only difference between the variants being the inclusion of a 360-degree camera for the premium trim.
