I went through 60 travelers' videos about Brunei and roughly summarize their feels when and after visiting

Very sad indeed... The 3 days max to see everything in Brunei is so true.... I used to attend a foreign couple who initially planned to stay for a week at Empire Brunei, but shortened their stay in 3 days because they have already gone to all the places they wanted in Brunei... Kinda embarrassing though.

Sadly the country is still being financially raped by one family. That is the plain cold truth!

And the saddest thing is, we all know where the money went but can't question and do anything about it

Brunei is not a rich country anymore. Brunei is unlike saudi or other oil rich countries where they use the money to invest. We need to tell the people that we are not rich country only the royals is rich.

We know where the money is going, definitely not for developing the country that is

Unpopular opinion but we come across friendly towards tourists because weโre embarrassed that thereโs nothing for them to do / see around here so we overcompensate it by being extra helpful / friendly. Even online whenever ppl make travel vlogs on Brunei, you see Bruneians commenting โtq for coming to Brunei.โ ๐ญ

I feel like most of the problem could be solved just by throwing money at it but with the tourism budget of $3.1 m(if I am not wrong) not a lot of money to play around to develop the whole country tourism industry.

Rich country with only few are rich too. A country with nothing much to offer. Good thing people are nice.

People ask me how long they should stay in Brunei if they want to visit. I tell them half a day. Book RB and get a connecting flight with a transit time of about 6 hours or so and they can probably see all the interesting things to see in a couple of hours, if someone drives them around.

I found the information below and here's a summary
Did you know that many travelers feel they can see all of Brunei's highlights in just half a day? That's a whirlwind tour! But it seems like there's a lot of hidden depth and some locals feel a bit embarrassed about the lack of attractions. It's like a secret gem waiting to shine brighter!
