He was known for his extreme sense of justice, humility, and fear of accountability before Allah.
He was highly cautious about using public funds for PERSONAL BENEFITS and even hesitated to accept a salary from the treasury at first.
When he eventually did, he only took what was NECESSARY for basic sustenance.
Umar's concern for transparency in governance and his fear of misusing public resources set a strong example of leadership.
