Just sharing my experience. Recently have to change our old electric meter to USMS cause our old one was broken. Our old meter keep on beeping and blinking and we can't press the keypad to top it up so have to call td123 and they came and change it to usms. It hasn't been that long (around 1 month).
I live with my mother and sister. It's just the three of us. Only my mom yg stay at home the whole day cause me and my sister are working. So of course can't compare to household that got lots of family member. Just sharing my experience.
Before using USMS, I have to top up $70 per month untuk cukupkan pemakaian sebulan. After upgrading to USMS as usual I top up $70 (this was done on 4th April 2023). As of today, 7th May my remaining balance for electricity is $44.43. Which means that we only use roughly $25 for the month of April. I don't know if it's because our old meter probably has been broken for a long time or what but after change to usms our bill is now less.
As for water, on 7th April I top up $10 and as of today the remaining balance is $5.42.
Again, not comparing with any household that got lots of family member and it's only been a month since I'm using usms and we're still keep on tracking the usage to compare for the coming months.

I wonder if this would be relevant to our meters...so its saying we dont have to replace the meter entirely but update the software for the meter instead. if this is the case,..then we might have been misinformed due to our lack of knowledge of what TID is...

I was wondering if i go kuching or sarawak and bring in the solar panels that is able to power the whole house electrical units for at least 24hrs is that illegals? I know a place in kuching or sarawak they are selling solar panels around BND10k-ish with installation.

I keep seeing comments about increased bills if they change their meter. Is this true? I have not seen any reliable source about this

What I would like to know is how did DST even get the job for this? I’ve already got trust issues with their data usage calculation on my Mobi and now my household electricity is in their hands too?
