The Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD) has issued a warning to mariners about the temporary outage of the NAVAID navigation system at MLJ3 Platform in Brunei waters. The system, which is currently being charged, is expected to be down for up to a week. As a result, the red strobe light used for visibility is also unavailable. Mariners are urged to stay clear of the platform and respect an extended one-kilometer inclusion zone due to its reduced visibility at night and during rough seas. Radio navigational warnings will be broadcast via Marine Radio VHF Channel 16.
