The country continues to celebrate* Maulidur Rasul*, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) with various religious activities marking the special occasion. Yesterday, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and its departments celebrated *Maulidur Rasul* with a religious ceremony. The ceremony saw the recitation of verses from Al-Quran and the performance of* Dikir Syarafil Anam* as well as *Selawat Tafrijiyyah* and *Sayyidul Istighfar*. A special talk was also delivered by Mosque Affairs Officer Pengiran Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Sellahhuddin. Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad was the guest of honour. Senior officers, executives, officers and staff of the ministry and its departments also attended. Permanent Secretary (Safety and Welfare) at the MoHA Salminan bin Haji Burut was the chief guest. Legislative Council members, grassroots leaders, senior ministry officials, officers and staff of the ministry and its departments also attended the ceremony. Yesterday, the State Mufti’s Office held a special religious lecture on *Irsyad Hukum* in conjunction with *Maulidur Rasul*. Deputy State Mufti Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Japar bin Haji Mat Dain @ Maidini attended the ceremony as the guest of honour. A religious lecture was delivered by Head of Buhuth Haji Mas Reduan bin Haji Jumat. Meanwhile on Sunday, the Darussalam Motorcycle Association (PEMODA) held a religious activity to commemorate *Maulidur Rasul*. Fifty PEMODA members participated in a convoy to Kampong Benutan Mosque led by PEMODA President Pengiran Haji Redzuan bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad. The members performed *Asar* prayer at the mosque and presented *waqaf* to the mosque imam, which included equipment to build the platform for a water tank, a pump and cleaning utensils. – James Kon, Azlan Othman Lyna Mohamad & Rokiah Mahmud
