The Court of Appeal in Brunei has upheld the seven-year prison sentence and 12 strokes of caning for Muhammad Zulqarnain bin Ajis, convicted of armed robbery. Zulqarnain had appealed his sentence citing hardship on his family but the court found no grounds to reduce the sentence given the seriousness of the crime.
