Some BND138,000 worth of food necessities, delicacies and canned drinks were distributed to 150 families across the Sultanate yesterday as part of the annual Ihsan Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan) Programme, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan. Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof as the Chairman of Yayasan Board of Directors led the distribution in the Brunei-Muara District to five families residing in Kampong Lupas Luas, Kampong Baong Putat, Kampong Putat and Kampong Setia ‘A’. Minister of Heath Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, as Deputy Chairman of Yayasan Board of Directors led the contingent in the Belait District. They visited three households in Kampong Panaga, Kampong Sungai Liang and Kampong Tunggulian to hand over donations in person. Meanwhile, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin as a Yayasan Board of Directors member, led the distributions in the Tutong District while Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, who is also a Yayasan Board of Directors member, led the Temburong District event.
