The project, costing around BND770,300, aims to increase the mosque's capacity by 700 congregants and is expected to be completed by July 2024. Funding comes from public donations and endowments. Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar participated in the ceremony, pouring cement into the foundation. The expansion will include a funeral rites room, a multi-purpose room, and additional toilet and ablution facilities.
