BB Opinion: Cars with faulty brakes should not be allowed on the road

A few weeks ago, I was stuck in traffic congestion on a hill when the vehicle in front suddenly rolled backwards. When I confronted the driver, he said the brake hadn’t been working for a while.
While I sympathised with the man, I also couldn’t believe his car managed to pass inspection with a faulty brake. He had potentially been driving a moving time bomb around.
I hope authorities would step up efforts to keep unroadworthy cars from public roads.
