The Public Works Department alerts residents in the Brunei and Muara district about ongoing water disruptions and low-pressure issues affecting various areas. 

The department has identified elevated levels of organic matter and discoloured water at the Sungai Tutong raw water intake, impacting the production of clean water and, consequently, the water levels in key reservoirs.

Affected areas include:

– Mukim Berakas ‘A’: Portions of Kg Lambak ‘A’ and ‘B’

– Mukim Berakas ‘B’: RPN Lambak Kanan, Kg Madang, and Kg Manggis 2

– Mukim Gadong ‘A’: RPN Rimba, Kg Rimba 1 & 2, STKRJ Rimba, STKRJ Kg Tungku, and Kg Katok A

– Mukim Kota Batu: Kg Subok, Kg Belimbing, Kg Pintu Malim, Kg Sungai Lampai, Kg Kota Batu, Kg Pelambayan, Kg Dato Gandi, Kg Sungai Matan, Kg Serdang, and Kg Sungai Belukut

– Mukim Gadong ‘B’: Kg Kiarong, Kg Kiulap, and Kg Beribi

– Mukim Pengkalan Batu: Kg Bebatik, Kg Batong, Kg Panchor Murai, Kg Masin, Kg Pengkalan Batu, Kg Junjongan, Kg Wasan, Kg Limau Manis, Kg Bebuloh, and Kg Kuala Lurah

To mitigate the impact, the department has activated its standard operating procedures (SOPs) and is devising recovery strategies to restore normal water supply as swiftly as possible. 

In the interim, residents are urged to conserve water and can request tanker services by contacting the Darussalam Hotline at 123.
