His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa‘adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam yesterday left Singapore after concluding the state visit. Accompanying Their Majesties were His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah; and Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah; as well as other members of the royal family. Prior to departure, State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned recited Doa Selamat. During the state visit, His Majesty met with the President of Singapore Halimah Yacob and discussed the excellent cooperation between the two countries in many areas such as Currency Interchangeability, defence, education and people-to-people exchanges. The two leaders reaffirmed the long-standing bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore as well as discussed on the exploration of new opportunities for cooperation. Four new memoranda of understanding (MoU) were signed between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore on public service capacity development, youth education scholarship, strengthening trade and investment in food and medical products; and energy and green economy cooperation. His Majesty had the opportunity to board the H225M Medium Lift helicopter and to view the static exhibition of Aster 30, an air defence system; both assets used by the Republic of Singapore Air Force. Meanwhile, His Majesty and Her Majesty also unveiled a new orchid hybrid registered as Dendrobium ‘Hassanal Saleha’.
