**Year 6 cohort of Orang Kaya Setia Bakti Primary School Kilanas looks to the future** Navigating the thrilling shift from the familiar corridors of primary school to the unexplored landscapes of secondary education is a pivotal juncture in each student’s academic journey. This transition signifies more than a mere change in surroundings; it represents a bold leap into uncharted territories of newfound responsibilities, diverse subjects, and an invaluable opportunity for personal growth. With the year 2023 concluding, schools across the nation are taking a moment to commend the achievements of their students, with a special spotlight on the Year 6 cohort who recently received their Primary School Assessment (PSR) examination results in November. Among these, 38 outstanding students from Orang Kaya Setia Bakti (OKSB) Primary School Kilanas, who are marking the closure of their primary school chapter with a celebration of triumphs and a gaze toward the promising horizons of secondary education. PHOTO: ROKIAH MAHMUD While the elusive 5As remained elusive this time, she added, the school showcased a commendable surge in progress, with a stellar 66.67 per cent (24 out of 36 students) securing impressive grades ranging from A to C across all subjects. This feat is particularly noteworthy as it represents a substantial leap from the previous year, she explained, outshining the overall achievement percentage for primary schools in Cluster 4. Even more striking is that 80.56 per cent (29 out of 36 students) attained grades spanning from A to D. This remarkable accomplishment not only underscores the students’ commendable efforts but also reflects the school’s steadfast dedication to nurturing well-rounded academic prowess, continued Siti Norbayu. Delving into the finer details of academic triumphs, the headmistress highlighted the school’s stellar subject-wise achievements. A perfect score of 100 per cent was notched in the Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB) subject while Science and English Language followed suit with an impressive 86 per cent, underscoring the school’s prowess in these domains. Meanwhile, Mathematics and Malay Languages garnered solid scores of 78 per cent each, attesting to the students’ well-rounded proficiency. Drawing attention to the improvements, the headmistress accentuated a noteworthy four per cent surge in MIB and an impressive 30 per cent boost in Mathematics. These statistics are good indicators of the school’s unwavering commitment to elevating both the quality and quantity of academic excellence. Nur Farrah Rayhanna binti Haji Mustapa’s mother ardently wishes for her daughter’s continued success, believing in her potential to achieve greatness and make everyone proud. Recognising Farrah’s challenge in Mathematics, the mother enrolled her in a tuition class, resulting in an outstanding PSR performance.
