Rokiah Mahmud & Adib Noor The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) held a Dikir Syarafil Anam closing ceremony at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque yesterday to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The ceremony began with a mass Maghrib prayer followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, Dikir Assalamualaika, Dikir Syarafil Anam and Dikir Marhaban after a mass Isyak prayer. The event concluded with the handing over of Waqaf by Minister at the PMO Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof to mosque Imam Haji Mohammad Izzat Izzuddin bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran. Deputy Minister (Civil Service Governance) at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, Deputy Minister (Security and Law) at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu, permanent secretaries, heads of departments, officers and staff at the PMO also attended the event. At Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque in Mukim Kilanas, a delegation from the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) attended a Dikir Maulud ceremony yesterday. It proceeded with a mass Isyak prayer, Dikir Marhaban, Doa Dikir and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam. A tazkirah entitled ‘Bukti Cinta kepada Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wassalam’ was delivered by Islamic Da’wah Centre Religious Officer Mohammad Nasyith bin Superi. In a similar event, the Women’s Bureau of Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’ Village Consultative Council (MPK) held a closing ceremony for Maulidur Rasul celebration at Park View Hotel, Jerudong yesterday. Chairperson of the Women’s Bureau of MPK Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’ Hajah Rukiah binti Haji Mohammad Yassin was the guest of honour. The annual religious ceremony also saw the presentation of certificates of appreciation to its members aged 70 for their assistance and contribution in strengthening the establishment of Women’s Bureau of MPK Kampong Sengkurong ‘B’. The event also coincided with the bureau’s 10th anniversary. The opening ceremony of the Maulidur Rasul was held on September 27, joined by some 30 of the bureau’s members. Meanwhile, the Azkayra Dikir Group also held the closing ceremony of Dikir Maulud at the residence of the group’s member Hajah Nurhayati binti Abdul Karim in RPN Kampong Meragang on Saturday. It began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by Dikir As Salam and Dikir Asrakkal. A quiz on the life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) enlivened the ceremony.
