His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, hosted a gathering with over 1,000 intending haj pilgrims at Istana Nurul Iman. The pilgrims received personal gifts of ihram (for men) and prayer veils (for women) from the Sultan. They also participated in a mass Zohor prayer. The group, including administrative staff and medical personnel, will depart for Madinah and Makkah in four flights between June 4th and 7th.
