Lyna Mohamad Youth Bus participant Mohd Nur Aiman bin Mohd Yusri said the programme provided a wealth of knowledge and experiences. He believed the programme will provide beneficial exposure to youth and help hone their leadership and teamwork skills. The 18-year old from Kampong Kiulap who works at a Nasi Katok stall in Kampong Lugu, hoped the programme will continue to bring benefits to local youth. Meanwhile, Nuryusrina Izzati binti Mohd Ali, 21 from Kampong Rataie, a member of the Youth Volunteer Group under PKBN, said, “We learnt a lot and picked up new skills and experiences throughout the four-day programme. PHOTOS: LYNA MOHAMAD Participants of the Youth Bus began their programme in Tutong on Acting Tutong District Officer Ajmin bin Haji Meludin at the Bintudoh Greenspring Resort in Kampong Lamunin. The group, comprising 21 males and 19 females embarked on a tour of all four districts in conjunction with the 17th National Youth Day celebration, following a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 outbreak. During the courtesy call, the acting Tutong District officer delivered brief remarks, followed by a briefing by Assistant Officer Grade II at the Tutong District Office Alia Nurzahra binti bdullah Api. The participants visited Angkasa Oud Agarwood Company in Kampong Tanjong Maya and were briefed on the making of oud oil process, and toured the premises. After a Friday prayer break at Kampong Lubok Pulau Mosque, the participants gathered at the village hall for a sharing session with the acting village head of Kampong Lubok Pulau/ Tanjong Maya. Youth Bus programme aims to help participants reach their potential by increasing knowledge and skills towards self-development, leadership and understanding. It is hoped to provide the participants with an exposure to recognise, respect and subsequently appreciate the life in community and the country by further strengthening the basis of religious, cultural and traditions through identity, and socio-community culture in all four districts. The programme by Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports is conducted in collaboration with Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Ministry of Education, Department of Enegry at the Prime Minister’s Office and District Offices in all four districts.
