Brunei's Authority on Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi) has delegated enforcement powers for parts of the Building Control Order 2014 to personnel from district offices, municipal departments, and the Housing Development Department. This move empowers officers to enforce cleanliness standards in commercial buildings (Section 57), as well as address unauthorized building works (Section 24) and ensure compliance with permits for housing areas.
