Watch the economy of Kalimantan overtake Brunei in another 40 years!
I want to put /s in there, but it might actually happen!

I'm having mixed feelings about this. Banjarmasin and Balikpapan are lovely places, unspoiled by mass tourism and thus still has that authentic feel to them.
I guess it will be good for the local population though. And should this network be completed during my lifetime, travelling the entire length of Kalimantan's going to be on the bucket list.

Great! More destruction of the rainforest! Everything will be cut down to grow oil palm trees. Isn't there already enough of palm oil in the market?
If you think the problem in Brazil is bad, the next one is on our island.

I found the information below and here's a summary
Did you know that the new rail network in Kalimantan could transform travel and boost the economy? Imagine hopping on a train to explore the lush landscapes of Banjarmasin and Balikpapan—it's like the Orient Express of the tropics! Who knows, it might even give Brunei a run for its money in 40 years!
