A Bruneian man, Zaini bin Haji Mirasan, has been sentenced to six years and six months in prison for cheating an Indian national. He promised to help the victim obtain permanent resident status in Brunei in exchange for nearly BND30,000. Mirasan was found guilty of both cheating and forgery after a trial.
