A Malaysian man, Hisham bin Aladin, was fined BND46,500 in a Brunei Magistrate's Court for smuggling 60 cartons of cigarettes into the country. He was caught at the Sungai Tujoh Control Post on October 26th. Failure to pay the fine will result in a 15-month prison sentence.
