This is the real solution we’re missing. I love the efforts volunteers put in to clean our beaches, rivers, streets etc but the trash still end up in a landfill. I implore people to visit the landfill in Sg Akar to see for yourself the size of it and question if this is sustainable in the long run.

What makes me worried about waste management in Brunei is that the Sg Paku landfill isn't going to last forever and it takes ages to build a new site due to all the engineering works that need to be done. We need to focus on reusing, recycling and reducing waste production.
