Lyna Mohammad Best Student Syahwan Dani bin Yahya, who graduated from his BTEC Level 5 HND in Business Management at Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology (CCCT), shared that having excelled in his academics during his NCC Level 3 Diploma in Business BTEC, Level 3 Diploma in Business and BTEC Level 5 HND in Business Management was a big achievement, which he attributed to actively participating in talks, seminars and workshops offered by the college. He said this at CCCT’s 15th convocation ceremony. For now, he plans to continue his career as a sales consultant as he believes he can gain more knowledge, skills and experience. His main goal is repay his mother’s hard work in raising him as his father passed away when he was two years old. “I would advise students to pursue their dreams and to not give up. She tries to find clarity within herself before getting down to the nitty gritty of studying. She said it helps her get through any subject. Jersey also said the convo’s theme of ‘Driving Digital Innovation’ matches with what is going in the world today. “Technology is advancing to become part of our lives. Integrating technology use and knowledge in our studies at Cosmo provided that aspect of opportunity for developing our skills and experience which could be relevant for any job in the future.” Jersey, who is in her Level 5 HnD with her final semester in a few months, plans to further her studies in Canada or Australia, which she said have cities known for their diverse creative industry, or to work alongside local creatives for the time being to gain more experience and insight while advance her skills. In addition, Jersey would also like to pursue her own personal business in her creative ventures. Another student, Mohammad Nur Amali bin Roslan, graduated with an HND in Business programme and shared that his achievement came from hard work, especially during the second COVID-19 wave as they had to adapt to online learning. He managed to pull through and resolved problems by asking his lecturers and planning ahead to avoid missing out on any information. Recalling his journey at CCCT, he did his best to achieve his results. He lauded the college for its teaching quality combined with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. He added that he chose business as his major as it is a consistently popular choice and the programme provides the academic knowledge and skills to pursue global career opportunities. Syahwan Dani, Jersey and Mohammad Nur Amali were among the 396 graduates who received their certificates at the 15th convocation ceremony of the CCCT from Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh on July 12.
