***Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Development and Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah*** The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Development (MoD) and Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah held a get-together Aidilfitri ceremony with Pusat Bahagia trainees and residents/occupants of Welfare Home Complex under the Community Development Department (JAPEM) at An-Naura Hall of Yayasan Complex yesterday. Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad were present. Among the stage performances was a skit on ‘Riuh Rendah di Hari Raya’ and singing using sign language. PHOTO: MCYS *** ***Ministry of Defence*** The Ministry of Defence (MinDef) held a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at the Plenary Hall, International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas on Friday. Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof was present. He visited booths set up by all military units, civilians and military directorates and units under the MinDef. The booths were decorated according to this year’s theme, *‘Suasana Kampung’*. The event also saw welcoming remarks from Acting Director of the Directorate of Finance and Acquisition Hajah Leny Mailinawati binti Haji Mayalin as co-chairperson of the ceremony and a screening of Raya greetings as well as *‘gulingtangan’* music and RBAF band performances. Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Commander Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Permanent Secretary at the MinDef Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, permanent secretary at the MinDef, RBAF service commanders and acting joint force commander, deputy permanent secretary at the MinDef, civilian and military directors, commandants, senior officers, officers and personnel of the MinDef were also present.
