***Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports*** James Kon The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) held a *Nuzul* Al-Quran celebration and *Khatam* Al-Quran ceremony as well as presentation of donation to orphans under the ministry yesterday. Organised by the Community Development Department at Digadong Hall of the MCYS, the ceremony celebrated *Nuzul* Al-Quran followed by a *Khatam* Al-Quran ceremony to celebrate MCYS personnel who had completed the Tedarus event carried out in the month of Ramadhan. The ceremony began with the recitation of* Surah Al-Fatihah*, led by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad followed by the recitation of *Dikir Marhaban* by officers and staff. The event continued with recitation of *Takhtim* and *Tahlil* led by Head of Religious Teachers at the Youth Development Centre Haji Masfourteen bin Haji Mohd Yusof and a *Doa Takhtim* by Assistant Religious Development of Youth Development Centre Muhammad Nabil bin Haji Roslan. The ceremony was enlivened by a talk from the Religious Development of the Mosque Affairs Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Fansuri Sharimi @ Mansur bin Mohammad Ali on* ‘Bersabar, Berikhtiar, Bertawakkal dan Berdoa Menghadapi Ujian Dengan Petunjuk Al-Quran’.* The minister present donations to orphans of officers and staff of the ministry. Acting Minister of Finance and Economy Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid attended the event along with Deputy Minister Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani, permanent secretaries, the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank managing director, deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments and divisions, officers and staff. Acting Director of the Trade Division Hajah Norhayati binti Haji Ismail, who was also the event chairperson, delivered a welcoming speech, followed by a lecture on *‘Bersabar, Berikhtiar, Bertawakkal dan Berdoa Menghadapi Ujian Dengan Petunjuk Al-Quran’* delivered by Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) assistant lecturer Haji Khairul Nazif bin Haji Damit. The event also saw a handover of donations to 26 orphans presented by Dato Seri Paduka Haji Khairuddin. Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin attended along with Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MPRT Haji Mohd Yusree bin Haji Junaidi, heads of departments, officers and staff.
