Nearly 70% of Brunei's population has received a COVID-19 booster shot, according to Minister of Defence II and Acting Minister of Health Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof. The country also recorded 261 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 146,044. One Category 4 case is currently under close monitoring and receiving respiratory assistance. Brunei's vaccination program continues to see progress with over 77% of children aged five to eleven receiving their first dose.
