***Ministry of Health*** Rokiah Mahmud The Ministry of Health (MoH) organised a Korban ceremony to celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha yesterday. Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar attended as the guest of honour during the event at Al-‘Afiah Hall. Five buffaloes were slaughtered and the meat distributed to 96 recipients comprising MoH staff and 41 Asnaf residents of Mukim Berakas ‘A’. The meat was distributed by the minister and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the MoH Dr Hajah Anie Haryani binti Haji Abdul Rahman. PHOTO: SALAWATI HJ YAHYA *** ***Ministry of Finance and Economy*** Thirteen buffaloes were slaughtered at a Korban ceremony participated by 62 officers and staff of the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) yesterday. The meat was distributed and delivered to 93 underprivileged individuals in Mukim Berakas ‘A’ and Berakas ‘B’. Similar events were also held at all suraus in RBAF garrisons, camps and bases, including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque. Deputy Minister of Defence Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abdul Kadir distributed the meat to Asnaf recipients and residents from Mukim Berakas ‘A’. Commander of the RBAF Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan was also present. The annual event included a tazkirah titled ‘Pengorbanan Yang Diredhai Allah’ delivered by Religious Teacher from RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT) Ustaz Muhd Nur Amin bin Haji Jali. Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad and Permanent Secretary (Community and Culture) at the MCYS Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari presented the meat to the recipients, comprising the poor and destitute, orphans and staff, at Bina Diri Hall of the Youth Development Centre in Kampong Tanah Jambu. The ceremony began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam and Doa seeking protection from COVID-19 outbreak. Similar events were held simultaneously at PM Dato Shariffuddin Hall at the National Archives of Brunei Darussalam and Sarmayuda Hall at the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP). PHOTO: MCYS *** ***Syariah Courts*** Fadley Faisal The Syariah Courts, State Judiciary Department at the Prime Minister’s Office marked Hari Raya Aidiladha with distribution of sacrificial meat to the needy yesterday. Syariah Appeals Court Permanent Panel Judge Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mohd Zaimi bin Haji Talip distributed the meat to selected individuals from the four districts. The event saw the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, Takbir Hari Raya, Selawat Tafrijiyyah and a Doa. PHOTO: FADLEY FAISAL *** ***Mashhor Group of Companies*** Adib Noor Thirty underprivileged families residing in the vicinity of Mashhor Group of Companies office in Lambak Kanan Light Industrial Area received sacrificial meat yesterday in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration. The meat distribution was organised by Mashhor General Contractor through Yayasan Al-Mashhor. Mashhor General Contractor Chairman (Dr) Haji Malai Abdul Hamid bin Haji Malai Mashhor was the guest of honour. Chairman of event organising committee Malai Shamil Faris bin (Dr) Haji Malai Abdul Hamid said the company holds sacrificial meat distribution annually and yesterday was the third of its kind held at the office in Lambak Kanan. The sacrificial meat was distributed by the guest of honour and representatives of Mashhor Group of Companies. The event, led by PPNBD President Dato Paduka Ar Haji Idris bin Haji Abas, saw the distribution of meat to members of the association. The ceremony also saw a Takbir, led by Religious Section Headquarters Commissioner Haji Rosaimi bin Haji Othman. Some 100 guests attended the event including 27 underprivileged families.
