His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman, yesterday received in audience Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong and spouse Loo Tze Lui at Qashr Al-Meezaan. His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik and a member of the royal family were also present. His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Lawrence Wong reaffirmed the commitment of both countries in further advancing the Young Leaders’ Programme, and touched on the continued strong bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate and Singapore, particularly in defence and security, sports, civil service and capacity building through people-to-people exchanges. His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Lawrence Wong also acknowledged that Brunei and Singapore diplomatic relations has gone strength to strength which will reach 40 years in 2024. Accompanying the Singaporean deputy prime minister were Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean; Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for National Development Indranee Thurai Rajah; Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Manpower Zaqy Mohamad; Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information and Ministry of National Development Tan Kiat How; Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment and Ministry of Manpower Dr Koh Poh Koon; and High Commissioner of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam Laurence Bay Siow Hon. Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Minister of Home Affairs Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid and Deputy Minister (Civil Service Governance) at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos and Deputy Minister (Security and Law) at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu were also present. His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, joined by the Singaporean delegation attended a luncheon.
