Over 29,000 students in Brunei from Years 10 to 13 underwent antigen rapid tests (ART) in the first two weeks of the academic year. Two false positives were detected in the first week and three in the second. The Minister of Education confirmed that positive cases resulted from household transmissions, not school infections. Students testing positive undergo PCR tests and are only allowed back in school with a negative result and MoH advice. Parents are urged to monitor their children for symptoms and keep them home if unwell.
