A 43-year-old Bruneian man, Salehehin bin Hussin, has been sentenced to three months in jail for stealing an iPhone 11 Pro Max worth BND1,800. He took the phone from a table at the PGGMB Building while his wife was checking her TAP account. The phone's owner, who had accidentally left it behind, reported the theft to security and subsequently filed a police report. CCTV footage led to Salehehin's arrest and the recovery of the phone. Acting Senior Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid considered Salehehin's prior criminal record and the inconvenience caused to the victim when handing down the sentence.
