Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd (DA) launched the Darussalam Assets Prioritising Employees in Organisations to Promote Learning and Empowerment (DA PEOPLE) programme with participants across their group of companies at The Empire Brunei yesterday. The programme is an initiative under the DA Human Capital Development Department’s Learning and Development Roadmap aimed to build a strong groupwide HR Talent Pool and raise the standards of skills, knowledge, and expertise of the HR Professionals across the DA Group of Companies. Acting Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Acting Minister of Finance and Economy II Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani in her capacity as a member of the board of directors of Darussalam Assets attended the launch. The first module titled DA-CIPD HR Business Partnering is a collaboration between DA and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Asia; a global organisation with over 165,000 members across over 120 countries which regularly contributes to the research in HR practice. The module contents have been curated to target HR leaders and aspiring HR managers and consisted of facilitated learning sessions and group coaching sessions. The programme will be conducted within 11 weeks where the first two days will be on a physical basis while the remainder will be carried out virtually through the WebEx platform. By the end of the 11-week programme, a project presentation will be scheduled to key stakeholders. “Participating HR professionals will work on a real-life project which will be presented to relevant stakeholders for implementation consideration at respective workplaces. This will ultimately level up the HR practitioners on their business partnering mindset and role as a strategic agent in an organisation which will allow them to master the skills of driving human capital initiatives that generate real business value,” said DA Human Capital Development Manager Mohammad Salehin bin Haji Basir. “Throughout the programme, DA’s Human Capital Development department will organise training modules in collaboration with CIPD on the continuous professional development courses based on the segmentation of 195 HR professionals in the HR Talent Pool across the DA Group. Additionally, DA will bridge the gap with CIPD for HR professionals working towards CIPD accredited programmes or milestone certifications,” he added.
