Anyone know if shops sell instant road tars in bags like how they sell cement? Cause I would love to get some and just fix the road around my area rather than wait for gahmen to fix.

Reported to 123 about my simpang potholes. No action taken for months. Then i post the potholes photo to our kampong WA group n ask them report to 123. About 4 persons report to 123 on the same day. Within a month they fixed the potholes but did an half ass job but it better than nothing.

I swear the only published this so they can point and say "THERE PROOF WE DID SOMETHING AND ALTHOUGH IT ISN'T EFFECTIVE AT LEAST MEASURES WERE TAKEN! <3"

Menglait area a lot of potholes. The dogs and cats just use it as their drinking bowl.

I understand the op feel. Our gahmen always slow to fix this matter. I used to buy gravel at hardware store to patch the pothole because JKR TOO SLOW solving this isu. How many call we need to complain 123? How long do we have to wait? Do we have to meet HM and letter?

Just because our "jalan damit" Or "jalan kampong" Doesnt mean you can close your eyes and relaxe at jingchew.

My suggestion here why don't you JKR officer have taskforce where there are some officers that can handle the machinery and dispatch to close the pothole asap( example japan). Especially the minor pothole that doesn't required specialist to scrap the road.

Pothole issue needs long-term fix

While I applaud the initiative to resolve the pothole issue, I believe more thought ought to be put into gravel selection.

I recently drove over one and had my car tyre punctured. On close inspection, I was surprised by how sharp the rocks were.

I’m also surprised by how common the practice is. Sure, it’s a quick fix. But without tar over it, these gravels roll and move. Within a week or two, we’re back to where we started.
