A 21-year-old man from Brunei was sentenced to two years and four months in jail with two canings for attempting to steal money from a bank ATM last month. Judge Radin Safiee bin Radin Mas Basiuni also ordered him to compensate the bank BND3,385 or face an additional three months imprisonment.
