His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam joined a Junjung Ziarah with intending haj pilgrims at Istana Nurul Iman yesterday. His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office was also present. The pilgrims performed Zohor and* Sunnat Hajat* prayers before greeting His Majesty and His Royal Highness. Male pilgrims were given a bag containing white *ihram* to be worn during the pilgrimage while female pilgrims received *telekong*. Some 1,033 pilgrims comprising 493 males and 540 females including administrative, medical and haj service operators attended the *Junjung Ziarah*. The seven authorised agencies to offer haj packages delivered briefings and conducted courses for the pilgrims to prepare them for rituals including *Sa’ie*, *Tawaf* and throwing stones at *Jamarat*. Four flights will bring the pilgrims and officers to Madinah Al-Munawwarah from May 23 to 26. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) informed the public that the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Haj and *Umrah* only allows haj visa holders to join the pilgrimage. MoRA also reminded the pilgrims to follow rules and procedures set by His Majesty’s and Saudi governments.
