firstly you need to have the IC which means u have to be living and working here with employer, or have a spouse / sponsored visa. and you have to go through driving school.

If you see a driving school, then it is most definitely government approved because you need to get a particular type of license to teach driving. It is illegal to teach driving without that license.
Back to your situation, just like the other guy said, go to land transport and find out there.
And this is the first time I hear about learning driving using automated car, back in my time 16 years ago and the years after that, every single person had to learn driving using manual car. Literally everyone with no exceptions unless maybe handicap.
