Headline should be: Brunei traffic police doing their base job once per annum just before bonus.

This highlights the inefficiency of the government (particularly town and country planning), lack of proper city/road planning. This is what happens when plans keep getting postponed. The "city plans" to accommodate 250,000 population's traffic is only finished when the population is already double that (20 years late). Meeting/makan and no progress.

You really think those people really want to park outside all the way walk till the hospital? If there is parking inside the ripas i believe all will park inside its more nearer parking inside ripas than outside all the way just to walk inside n hot…. Lol

Yes undang undang is very important, you cant park there, but there is not much parking at ripas, where should we park? Just like friday masjid not enough parking you park at the roadside why dont give fine too? How about school time? Waiting at the roadside also cannot, why dont you fine them too? Try to solve the parking area first before giving out fine, want to be fair fine everything, mosque , school , and those who simply park at gadong area.

Every Friday during mosque prayers ppl go and park on the roadside as well. Double lane become single lane cause they park both sides. Some even park around roundabouts making it dangerous during high traffic flow. And yet nothing has been done to prevent such repeated actions.

Why is it they only do it during payday? Why not during regular day? Are they being considerate? Or just lazy? I mean they could get more $$$ from fines right? It should be a regular thing.. and not just at a specific time and place.

I sent my relatives to Ripas all the time, and this place is always jam packed with cars parking there. This is, however, the first time ever I have seen them being held accountable tho.

Cars, assumably owned by government officials/employees, that are parked in a no-parking zone with clear no-parking signs next to Bandar police station however, are okay. There exists two laws in Brunei; one for us and another for them.
